Aaliyah Haughton became famous in 1994 when she released her first album Age Ain't nothing but an amount. The album was Gold when she was fifteen years old. The album was part of a group that was greatly influenced by R. Kelly and it put the singer in the spotlight. The year 1996 saw her release her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the hit number one track If Your Girl Only was aware. Aaliyah's second album called One in a million, was released in 1996. It featured the top hit single"If You Girl Only Knew. In 2000, she starred alongside the famous martial arts star Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver spotted her in an award show. In 2002 she was in the vampire movie Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. After that, she entered the Matrix by playing Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also appeared on The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She was nominated four times at the Grammy Awards in 1999, 2001 and 2002. Aarti Mann is from Indian origin and was born in Connecticut. The stage name Mann comes from her married name Mankad. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar as her professional name. While she started out in film and TV with a few minor performances, her acting career picked up growth in the latter half of 2000s. Other notable works she has done are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She's also appeared in major commercials for brands like Volvo which is an international automobile maker. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actor.
